Last week, the Supreme Court granted certiorari in United States v. Hemani to decide whether 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(3)—the federal prohibition on firearm possession by an individual who “is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance”—comports with the Second Amendment.
